My name is Ina Jäntgen. I am currently a PhD candidate in Philosophy at the University of Cambridge. I mostly work on the philosophy of science, but also have research interests in (formal) epistemology and decision theory. My dissertation focuses on causal strength, statistical effect sizes and how both matter for practical decision-making. Before coming to Cambridge, I obtained a Master’s in Philosophy and Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. I also hold Bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Freiburg. When I am not philosophizing or doing academic work, I enjoy being in nature, particularly while running, hiking, skiing or mountain biking.
